Care will be provided in accordance with policies and procedures within a safe and comfortable environment. Duties include assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence/catheter care, elimination/toileting needs, turning/positioning, and skin care. Documentation must be completed per protocol. The CNA will maintain the resident's environment and safety as outlined in the plan of care. Responsibilities include answering call lights and alarms promptly, providing safety mats and low beds, and ensuring cleanliness of the unit. Behavior and fall prevention practices will also be adhered to. Documentation must be completed as per protocol. The resident's nutritional needs will be met according to their preferences and choices. Tasks include meal delivery, tray preparation, adaptive equipment use, feeding, and providing nourishments. Documentation must be completed per protocol. Rehabilitative needs will be met as outlined in the plan of care. This includes range of motion, ambulation, transfers, proper body alignment, and the use of assistive devices. Documentation must also be completed as per protocol. Resident's rights, refusals, and concerns must be reported to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner. Changes in resident physical, emotional, and psychosocial status should be identified and reported promptly. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated. Tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
