Description Our client is looking for a skilled Medicaid Attorney to provide expert guidance on Medicaid eligibility, long-term care planning, and asset protection while ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves preparing and reviewing Medicaid applications, analyzing financial records, and drafting legal documents to support clients in navigating complex legal requirements. The position is based in St. Paul, Minnesota, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of elder law and estate planning. Responsibilities: - Advise clients on Medicaid eligibility, long-term care planning, and asset protection strategies tailored to their needs. - Prepare, review, and submit Medicaid applications and related documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. - Conduct thorough financial analysis and legal research to support client cases. - Draft legal documents, including trusts and other estate planning instruments, to facilitate asset transfers and compliance. - Stay updated on Medicaid regulations and ensure all strategies align with current laws and policies. - Communicate and coordinate with government agencies to resolve application issues and ensure smooth case management. - Collaborate with team members to develop comprehensive solutions for complex legal scenarios. - Maintain detailed and organized case records to track progress and ensure accuracy. - Provide clear and empathetic guidance to clients throughout the Medicaid planning process. Requirements - Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an active license to practice law in Minnesota. - A minimum of 2 years of experience in Medicaid planning, elder law, or asset protection. - Strong skills in legal drafting, financial analysis, and problem-solving. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with clients and agencies. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters with discretion. - Knowledge of trusts, estate planning, and long-term care regulations. - Familiarity with state and federal Medicaid laws and compliance requirements.
