NYIC VISTA, Volunteer Management @ ICARE The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) VISTA program works to place and support AmeriCorps VISTAs at New York nonprofit organizations, for the purpose of building organizational capacity to provide low-income immigrant communities with diverse anti-poverty services. Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: Immigrant Children Advocates' Relief Effort (ICARE), MISSION: ICARE is a coalition of legal advocates dedicated to expanding legal representation for unaccompanied immigrant children facing deportation in New York City and ensuring no child has to navigate the immigration system alone. Through our work, we strive to protect their rights and advocate for universal access to counsel; VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Volunteer Management, placed at ICARE, will work on volunteer management projects (e.g., recruitment, training, management, appreciation, evaluation) in support of the organization's programmatic work. SERVICE LOCATION: 121 Sixth Avenue, 6th Floor New York, NY 10013.
