Cook Children's,(based in Fort Worth, Texas), has a full time opportunity for a BC/BE pediatric endocrinologist. This is an opportunity to concentrate primarily on clinical care. Involvement in clinical research is not required; however, research interests can be supported if desired. Cook Children's offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. Our endocrinology team, led by medical director, Dr. Paul Thornton, is comprised of 11 board certified pediatric endocrinologists, 4 certified pediatric nurse practitioners, certified educators, psychologists and other pediatric specialists, creates individualized treatment plans incorporating the latest technological advances in diagnosis and care. One of the world's most respected congenital hyperinsulinism centers is right here at Cook Children's. The department also includes a world-renowned pediatric endocrinologist, Dr. Don Wilson, known for his work in genetic and acquired forms of dyslipidemia. Cook Children's primary service region includes Collin, Denton, Hood, Johnson, Parker, Tarrant and Wise counties, with an additional referral area encompassing approximately half of the state. The integrated system has more than 60 primary, specialty and urgent care offices throughout Texas and has served hundreds of international patients, as well as those from all 50 states. Our endocrinologists provide patient care in 6 local and 3 regional clinics, with expansion into the city of Prosper planned for the Spring of 2020. Cook Children's Medical Center is a non-academic, tertiary care 443-bed pediatric hospital.
