Urgent Hiring || Director of Obstetrics- Sanford, NC || Attractive Salary with huge benefits|| Apply Now Title: Director of Obstetrics (OB) Location: Sanford, NC Job Type: Full Time Job Opportunity Must-Haves: Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state is required Minimum of 5 years as a charge nurse or supervisor in OB Prior experience working in an acute care setting Bachelor's degree in Nursing Nice-To-Haves: BLS is required Master's degree is preferred Experience in a small community hospital Job Overview: As the Director of Obstetrics, you will play a pivotal role in organizing, directing, and supervising the functions of the OB unit. Your responsibilities include ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining safe staffing levels, managing supplies and equipment, and overseeing efficient patient throughput. In addition, you will be tasked with developing, implementing, and managing the department budget, engaging in ongoing quality and performance improvement initiatives, investing in lifelong learning for staff professional development, and ensuring employees complete required annual competencies. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Supervision: Organize, direct, and supervise OB unit functions. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Maintain safe staffing levels for optimal patient care. Manage supplies and equipment at sufficient levels. Budget Management: Develop, implement, and manage the department budget. Quality and Performance Improvement: Engage in ongoing initiatives to enhance quality and performance. Implement strategies to ensure the highest standards of care. Staff Development: Invest in lifelong learning for staff professional development. Assure employees complete required annual competencies. Communication: Communicate important information to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and other Administrative Team members as needed. Qualifications: Registered Nurse in North Carolina or Compact state. Minimum of 5 years as a charge nurse or supervisor in OB. Prior experience in an acute care setting. Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Preferred Qualifications: BLS certification. Master's degree in Nursing. Experience in a small community hospital.
