Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a community hospital in Covington, WA, working with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations.Job Details• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 58-bed community hospital,• Patient population includes adult, pediatric, and neonatal cases with diagnoses such as respiratory distress, airway compromise, and ventilator dependency,• Performs airway assessment and management, blood gas draws and analysis, intubation and extubation, emergency response (rapid response and code blue), and ventilator management,• Uses Epic EMR,• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM,• 36 hours per week,• Every other weekend rotation required,• Floating to Auburn Medical Center required,• No on-call requirement,Job Requirements• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required,• Washington State respiratory therapy license required if applicable,• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; 2 years preferred,• Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients required,• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS,• Proficiency in airway assessment and management, blood gas draw and analysis, intubation/extubation, ventilator management, and equipment setup and disassembly,• Two professional references required (supervisor level or above); one reference may be submitted for initial consideration, with a second required prior to start,Additional Information• First-time travelers will be considered provided they have experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations,• The RT works as the sole therapist on shift, collaborating with the STAT RN and house supervisor to triage patient care as needed,• Any color and style of scrubs are acceptable
