We are currently seeking a QC Chemist to join our team on 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday). This onsite role supports customer success by performing testing and evaluations on raw materials, bulk, and finished products while maintaining cGMP compliance and quality standards. Job Duties and Responsibilities * Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products according to written procedures. * Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) and test procedures are current and properly followed. * Accurately document all test results and lab activities in compliance with cGMP requirements. * Develop and maintain understanding of testing methodologies, techniques, and potential errors. * Maintain neat, organized, and clean work areas at all times. * Verify product quality specifications and customer standards are met. * Perform batch adjustments and troubleshoot out-of-specification (OOS) situations. * Maintain reference and product standards and update procedures/specifications as needed. * Use data to support continuous improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance. * Document Key Quality Incidents (KQI) and assist in root cause analysis for OOS results. * Support Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S, to improve efficiency and eliminate waste. * Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications * 0-2 years of GMP lab experience; minimum of 6 months in a chemistry lab environment preferred (pharmaceutical, cosmetics, personal care, food processing, etc.). * Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related science discipline preferred, or equivalent experience. * Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with a sense of urgency. * Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Technical Competencies * Knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, including analytical balances, volumetric glassware, pH, and titration. * Experience with UV/Vis and FTIR instrumentation is a plus. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). * Ability to follow written instructions, review test data, and report results accurately. * Able to maintain and grow technical expertise and ensure accuracy and precision in lab work. Work Environment * Indoor laboratory environment. * Exposure to fragrances and chemicals associated with personal care products. * Ability to respond and adapt to changes in a fast-paced work environment. * Use of stairways and lab equipment as needed. Work Schedule & Requirements * 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday. * May require occasional extended hours to meet testing deadlines. * Moderate to high demand for attention to detail and physical activity in the lab.
