Job Description: Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist. Education: * Completion of Sonography Program Preferred Experience: * 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer Preferred Certifications/Licensures: * BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required * Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, with a current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license * BR Breast Certification - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire * OB/GYN - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire * RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography - Must be btained within 90 days of hire, with the exception of new graduates, who must obtain their RVT license within 14 months * If the technologist is unable to comply in acquiring their missing sub-specialty license due to extenuating circumstances, one 90-day extension can be granted only at the discretion of the Medical Imaging Director * RVT highly preferred before hire * 3+ years of experience as a registered sonographer preferred * Strong weekend availability and ability to help with call when needed * Ability to help with night shift, PMs and AMs. Work Shift: 08.0 Per Diem No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $83.24 - $124.85 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
