The position is 4 hours per day, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm (set by the school administrator), school year.Position benefits include life insurance, long-term disability, 4 paid holidays, 3 planned absence days, and 5 sick days.GENERAL DESCRIPTION:The monitor provides a variety of monitoring activities to provide order in large student gatherings mainly in the cafeteria. This includes maintaining school discipline codes, attendance records for class periods assigned, controlling access from the outside and preparing student passes, as required. QUALIFICATIONS:A. Candidate should hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.B. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups.C. Consideration will be given to the following: 1. references that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position 2. ability to control order with group of students 3. ability to communicate effectively 4. ability to make sound judgmentREPORTS TO: School PrincipalsSALARY: $20.41 - $24.63 per hour (per FPSEU Contract) and based upon experienceDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.
