A healthcare facility in Fremont, CA is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment. This role is ideal for professionals with at least 2 years of experience in CT imaging, holding current certifications in BLS and ARRT (CT) (R), as well as Fluoroscopy. Certification by the State of California is required for radiology technologists. Responsibilities: Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily using Siemens 64 and 128 slice CT equipment. Support various patient types including ER, OR, inpatient, and outpatient cases. Collaborate with radiologists and the radiology management team to ensure high-quality imaging services. Participate in unit-specific orientations and ongoing training. Adhere to scheduling needs, which typically involve 8-hour shifts with potential weekend and holiday coverage. Utilize EMR systems, primarily Cerner, to document patient information. Maintain proficiency in venipuncture and other additional skills as applicable. Potential to support multiple imaging modalities such as mammography and ultrasound, depending on certifications. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, preferably with CT specialization. Active BLS certification. ARRT certification in CT imaging and general Radiology. Fluoroscopy permit. State of California certification for Radiology Technologists. Additional certifications in mammography and ultrasound are highly advantageous. Experience with operating room (OR) imaging is preferred. Venipuncture skills and tomography training are a plus. Schedule: Primarily 8-hour shifts. Shift options for CT-certified techs include early morning (7 AM) or mid-afternoon (3 PM). General radiology tech shifts commonly begin mid-morning (around 11 AM).
