Lab Technician – 3rd Shift Pay Rate: $20.00 – $21.75/hr., paid weekly Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (3rd Shift) Overtime: Weekend overtime required as needed (Saturday/Sunday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Location: Beech Grove, IN 46107 Duration: April 13, 2026 – October 12, 2026, potential for extension   Business Unit: Carbohydrate Solutions Overview ADM is seeking a Lab Technician to support its Carbohydrate Solutions business unit. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing on process and finished product samples to ensure quality standards are met. You will act as a key link between the lab and plant operations by providing real-time data and recommendations to support production performance and product specifications. Key Responsibilities Analytical Testing: Prepare samples and perform testing using wet chemistry and instrumentation (pH meters, balances, spectrophotometers). Process Monitoring: Conduct routine plant testing and communicate required adjustments to operations. Data Management: Accurately record results in LIMS and maintain daily digital documentation. Quality Assurance: Maintain standard samples and verify instrument accuracy against established benchmarks. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine calibration and light maintenance on lab equipment. Supply Management: Monitor inventory levels and notify leadership of reordering needs. Collaboration: Partner with plant operators to provide data-driven recommendations for production. Safety & Compliance: Follow FDA, GMP, EPA, and OSHA standards while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Qualifications Education: Associate’s degree in a science-related field (or higher) preferred. Experience: Experience with standard lab equipment (e.g., spectrophotometers, pH meters). Experience in a manufacturing or FDA-regulated environment is a plus. Strong attendance record and safety awareness. Technical Skills: Strong math skills for lab calculations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and lab software systems. Troubleshooting and organizational skills. Soft Skills: Strong communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods during an 8-hour shift. Flexibility to work overnight shifts and required overtime. Maintain strict sanitation and housekeeping standards.
