For more information: Hospitals Department of Audiology is seeking a full-time Clinical Audiologist to provide outpatient services primarily for the adult patient population across multiple locations, including:Orange County: UNC Hospitals Hearing & Voice Clinic at Carolina CrossingChatham County: UNC Hospitals Audiology at PittsboroWake County: UNC Audiology Services at CaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced audiologist to provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology services in a busy ENT clinic setting. The role will focus on the assessment and management of hearing loss, including evaluation, fitting, and programming of hearing aids and cochlear implants. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in an academic medical center or children's hospital in collaboration with otolaryngologists and related professionals. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), daytime position. Strong collaborative communication skills and the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomes are essential.Responsibilities:Perform basic and advanced diagnostic audiologic evaluations across the lifespanInterpret and analyze test results to develop patient-centered treatment plansCounsel patients and families on hearing loss, its impact, and management strategiesManage the ongoing needs of hearing aid and cochlear implant users, including programming, troubleshooting, and follow-up careConduct verification of hearing aid fittings using best-practice technologyAdminister comprehensive cochlear implant evaluations, including aided speech perception testing, and determine candidacy for implantable hearing technologiesCounsel patients on implantable technology options, function, and realistic expectationsPerform diagnostic testing for cochlear implant devices in both clinical and OR settingsProgram and manage all available implantable devices in the adult populationOther InformationOther information:Education Requirements:Graduation from an accredited Audiology program.Licensure/Certification Requirements:Licensed as an Audiologist by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists.BLS within 3 months of hire date.Professional Experience Requirements:Audiologist experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: Exhibits effective communication and interprofessional skillsAbility to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to maximize patient outcomesExperience with student supervision and clinical teaching preferredJob DetailsLegal Employer: STATEEntity: UNC Medical CenterOrganization Unit: Audiology Pittsboro UNCH Work Type: Full TimeStandard Hours Per Week: 40.00Salary Range: $35.87 - $51.57 per hour (Hiring Range)Pay offers are determined by experience and internal equityWork Assignment Type: OnsiteWork Schedule: Day JobLocation of Job: US:NC:PittsboroExempt From Overtime: Exempt: YesThis is a State position employed by UNC Health Care System with UNC Health benefits.
