Summary: Provides leadership and management expertise to departments within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Ensures services within their assigned departments provide the highest level of diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient and physician satisfaction, and expense management. Ensures systems are in place and functioning to comply with appropriate medical documentation, coding and billing policies of the hospital. Ensures compliance with all third-party regulatory agencies (JC, ODH, etc.). Directs the employees to ensure consistent application of all hospital policies and procedures. Performs appropriate human resource functions, including hiring, firing, and performance management. Where appropriate, will be responsible for off-site cardiovascular diagnostic services. Formal Education Required: a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) * Applicants are required to obtain a Master's degree within three (3) years of employment b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio Experience and Training Required: * At least (7) seven years healthcare experience, including work experience in cardiology outpatient testing. * At least (4) four years of leadership experience; preferably in cardiovascular services * Demonstrated ability to in developing effective working relationship with physicians. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: * BCLS * ACLS * Ability to work in a cross functional/matrix environment. * Proficiency Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
