Health Sensor Engineer

The Health Sensing HW team develops groundbreaking health sensors that are central to helping our customers live a healthier lifestyle. We are looking for a sensor engineer with a desire to innovate in the space of optical sensors and health sensing features. Our team helps support health sensing features by working through sensor and algorithm development, performance and power tradeoffs across multiple generations of hardware, and a wide range of operating conditions, user variability, and ambient conditions. The team you will join is responsible for designing and delivering optical-based health features for Apple's wearable devices. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of teams across Apple. You will work closely with internal and cross-functional teams to tackle challenges involving sensors and algorithms, and you will play a key role in developing solutions to enable optical sensing features. Exceptional problem solving skills. Familiar with signal processing. Experience in firmware development and knowledge of HW/FW development cycle. Knowledge of EE, including noise modeling, and integrated circuits. Experience with sensor interfacing, signal conditioning, and signal-to-noise analysis. Familiarity with health sensor design and signal acquisition. Knowledge of circuits/sensors. Strong software development skills, with proficiency in Python. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Collaborative and willing to work in cross-functional fast-paced technology development. BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience.
