Research Scientist - Fibrosis Biology II

ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Research Scientist - Fibrosis Biology II* with a pharmaceutical company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Foster City, CA. This is an onsite position. Summary: This role is part of a collaborative and interdisciplinary Immuno-oncology group. The successful candidate will contribute to the discovery, research, and development of immunotherapeutic agents using state-of-the-art technologies. Responsibilities: Independently execute in vitro and in vivo immunological assays, with study design, data analysis, and interpretation conducted under scientific guidance to support drug candidate initiation and advancement Proactively evaluate new technologies and develop new assays to accelerate early-stage discovery activities and/or enhance our understanding of disease mechanisms Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with colleagues in the oncology, protein engineering, chemistry, translational medicine, biomarker and clinical groups Presents research findings and recommendations to senior staff and contribute to preparation of research reports, manuscripts, INDs, and patent filings   Requirements:   Master's degree with 5+ years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in immunology, immuno-oncology, cell biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry in industry or academia Direct experience in research drug discovery and target identification/validation in oncology or immuno-oncology is highly desirable Solid understanding of fundamental immunology concepts, including innate and adaptive immunity, antigen presentation, cytokine signaling, and immune regulation Proficiency in primary T cell-based functional assays such as activation, proliferation and cytotoxicity Experience in conducting and optimizing cell-based assays, as well as performing studies to assess immune responses in human and animal models (including whole blood, PBMCs, and various primary cell subsets) Hands-on experience in general molecular and cell biology methods, including mammalian cell culture, multi-color flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA/Luminex/MSD, and CRISPR technology Highly organized, with demonstrated rigor in documenting experimental design, execution, and data analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Pay range: Up to $57.55 per Hour   Only candidates available and ready to work directly as ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) employees will be considered for this position.
