Summary: Performs high quality neurodiagnostic testing as prescribed by physicians according to established policies and procedures. Tests performed may include: EEGs, NCTs, Eps, TCDs Formal Education Required: a. Completion of a certified program for Neurology Technicians OR b. Undergraduate degree in Science with one (1) year of neurological testing experience OR c. Two (2) years neurological testing experience Certifications: a. BCLS Certification required. b. Preferred Certifications: ABRET Certification in EEG or AAET or AANEM for NCT; EP, LIM, or NIOM c. Any certification that is position relevant requiring continued education Other Skills: a. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity b. Ability to perform neurological diagnostic testing, including: EEG's, nerve conductions (NCT), evoked potentials (EPs), electronystagmogram (ENG), and intra operative monitoring preferred (IOM) Level of Physical Demands: a. Prolonged standing/walking. b. Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts equipment, supplies or patients. c. May be exposed to the risk of blood borne pathogens through direct patient contact. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
