American Traveler is hiring a Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience, including neuro IR experience, for a 13-week assignment at a high-volume academic hospital in Columbus, OH.Job Details• Interventional Radiology department at a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital in Columbus, OH,• High-volume department performing over 20,000 procedures annually across neurological, oncological, vascular, and peripheral interventions,• Neuro IR focus: cerebral angiography, carotid angiography, cerebral aneurysm coilings, AVM interventions, stroke interventions, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, stent placement, vertebroplasty, embolization, discogram, and spinal arteriography,• Additional procedures include biopsies, chemoembolizations, Y-90 radiopharmaceutical therapies, uterine artery embolizations, IVC filter placement/removal, TIPS, radiofrequency ablations, infusion pump placements/revisions, and other peripheral vascular interventions,• Utilizes fluoroscopy (Philips preferred, Siemens), ultrasound, CT (diagnostic and interventional), and PACS,• EMR: Epic (required),• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; may rotate to 5x8 schedule every other holiday,• Call required on a rotating basis, including weeknight and weekend call assignments,• Travelers are first to float per facility policy,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience with neuro IR experience required,• Graduate of an accredited radiography program,• ARRT (R) registration required,• BLS required; ACLS preferred,• Ohio Radiologic License (ODH) required - pending license acceptable,• Epic EMR experience required,• Proficiency with fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and PACS,• Experience scrubbing IR procedures and maintaining sterile field,• Skills in venous access, port access, PICC line care, central venous lines, and vascular closure systems,• Teaching hospital experience preferred; Trauma Level I and/or Level II experience preferred,• Travel experience required,• SSN and DOB required for consideration,• License required if applicable,• Candidate's permanent address must be greater than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,Additional Information• Serve as scrub and circulating assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for both diagnostic and interventional procedures,• Responsible for operating and maintaining angiographic fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT equipment, as well as managing a lab inventory of 1,500+ products,• Assists with neurological surgical procedures including cerebral aneurysm coilings, AVM interventions, and stroke interventions,• Must be willing to assist with training permanent staff,• Charge experience preferred,• Former OhioHealth staff must have been separated for at least 366 days prior to starting as a traveler; PRN OhioHealth employees are not eligible,• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,• Pre-assignment online modules are required and must be completed prior to start; average completion time is approximately 12 hours,• Any background history should be disclosed upfront for consideration,• More than one call-off may be grounds for termination; no-call/no-show is grounds for immediate termination
