Navigator, Grant Funded Administrative/Professionals Port Huron, MI * ID: 173647-100 * Full-Time/Regular Navigator - Grant Funded Terms of Employment: Full-Time, 52 Weeks Classification: Career Plan Annual Salary: $46,000 - $49,000 based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The position is contracted for a limited term contingent upon receipt of grant funds. FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Work includes evening and weekend hours as determined by the college. Application Deadline: Open until filled. Generous Benefits Package Available (per current contractual agreement): * Up to thirty-eight (38) paid time off days annually (prorated based on hire date). * Up to fourteen (14) paid holidays/days closed throughout the year (including time off from December 24 through New Year's Day), depending on hire date. * Health insurance benefits: Multiple medical health plan options upon date of hire. Additional funds for employment-related education/training each year, upon approval. * Access to educational funds for education, professional memberships, travel, and conferences Responsibilities: * Provide outreach to community organizations to engage prospective students with post-secondary education and workforce opportunities to gain industry-specific skills and knowledge to increase persistence to attainment, gain employment, and advance careers. * Collaborate with local and regional community partners to provide cross-sector, career-focused pathway navigation into the college's postsecondary pathways. * Work closely with the Director and community partners to monitor the current labor market and workforce trends and opportunities. * Provide success coaching and continued navigation advising with wrap-around support to increase persistence and completion. * Assist with the navigation of enrollment, financial aid, and employment processes while addressing barriers and challenges related to their completion. * Participate in meetings, committees, and training sessions, as requested. * Perform other duties as assigned. Supervision Received: Reports to the Executive Director of Student Services. Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required. Willing to consider candidates in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree. One year of related work experience is preferred. Minimum Qualifications: * Ability to work effectively with a variety of constituents while fulfilling a world-class service function. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Ability to work well within a team. * High degree of computer literacy. * Commitment to providing outstanding customer service. * Available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
