Position Summary A Traffic Controller is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient traffic flow in construction zones or areas prone to the impact of traffic. Responsibilities Direct traffic safely and efficiently, using hand signals, flags, or other signals to guide vehicles and pedestrians through construction sites or around road closures.Always be vigilant and aware of potential hazards. They must ensure drivers and pedestrians follow safety protocols and take appropriate precautions to prevent accidents.Traffic controllers must communicate effectively with drivers, pedestrians, and other workers.May be responsible for setting up cones, barriers, and other traffic control devices, ensuring these devices are visible to drivers.Monitoring traffic flow: Traffic controllers must monitor traffic flow to identify potential problems or bottlenecks.
