Your Opportunity We are seeking a water/wastewater intern to support our Water business in offices across the Southwest. This role will support our local design staff collecting and organizing data, preparing calculations, preparing charts and graphs, modeling using Excel or modeling software, preparing drawings, backcheck drawing/technical memoranda corrections, writing portions of technical memoranda, researching technical information, proposal and resume writing, client interactions, presentations, note taking, field investigations, coordinating production of reports, and/or support of design documents (plans and specifications). As a Student Intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to water infrastructure projects which may include water and wastewater plants, pump stations, water supply and distribution and sewer collection systems. Key Responsibilities The Intern must have good attention to detail. They need to possess a willingness to assist full-time staff with various tasks. The core competencies for this position include: * Good communication skills: verbal, business writing, electronic communications, and presentations * Positive attitude with strong relationship building skills * Flexibility to learn new skills. Qualifications - External Your Capabilities and Credentials * Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within the team. * Must be willing and able to take initiative when needed. * Good MS Office skills including Word and Excel; PowerPoint a plus. * Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D a plus. Pay Range: * $23.47 - $34.50 Hourly Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
