Non-Clinical - Health and Information Management/Medical Scribe Location Los Angeles, CA Onsite Flexibility Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Key Responsibilities Accompany physician during patient encounterTranscribe the physician dictated patient historyTranscribe the physical examination findings and procedures performed by the physicianTranscribe the results on laboratory and radiographic studiesTranscribe patient education and explanation of risk and benefits for procedures performed by the physicianTranscribe pending orders for referrals, tests, medications, and procedures as dictated by physicianTranscribe all proper diagnosis and symptoms, follow up instructions, and prescription information as directedPrepare and edit scribed document for physician review and signature Education Requirements College education in a related area of study (preferred) Required Experience 6 months of experience as a Medical Scribe Required Skills Must type 90 WPMComputer proficiency and ability to learn new applications quicklyProficiency in written communication, including spelling, punctuation, and grammarUnderstanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology, and treatment assessment to the extent required to accurately transcribe physician encounters Preferred Skills Experience with CS Link/Epic About GTT GTT is a minority-owned staffing firm and a subsidiary of Chenega Corporation, a Native American-owned company in Alaska.
