Your mentorship can change what's possible-apply today.YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR BRAIN INJURY DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALYou'll anchor the day as a Brain Injury Direct Support Professional with 1:1 supervision and support, coordinating transportation and participation in our Day Program, facilitating community engagement, socialization, and emotional support, and sparking recreational, professional, and educational activities; you'll communicate frequently with supervisors, case managers, and family members, respond confidently to crisis situations, and maintain clear, detailed documentation-all while collaborating with the treatment team to update plans and drive goals forward.Here's what we need from you:21+ years oldValid driver's license with an insured personal vehicle, and a clean driving record5+ years of driving experience, and an acceptable level of automobile liability insuranceHigh school degree or equivalentGood standing with the NC Health Care Personnel RegistryCPR and First Aid certification (can be provided)Communication and interpersonal skillsProblem‑solving and decision‑making skillsKnowledge of basic physical/psychological needs and health/safety proceduresWillingness to participate in ongoing training regarding brain injuries and best practicesAbility to follow all NC DHHS regulations, confidentiality rules, and organizational policiesAbility to complete assigned training within 30 daysAbility to work independently and with a teamAbility to stay positive and professional throughout the workdayAbility to use computers and office equipmentPreferred qualifications: Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS); experience with TBI; experience with developmental disabilities and/or mental health.HINDS' FEET FARM: WHY CHOOSE US?Since 1984, our organization has championed whole‑person, holistic support as an alternative to traditional brain injury treatment.
