How you'll contribute A Cat Scan (CT) Technician who excels in this role: * Provides computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. * Reviews patient history and physician's orders. * Educates patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. * Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered. * Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately. * Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs quality control checks. * Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions. * Positions patients and performs imaging procedures. * Analyzes imaging results, identifies quality issues, and takes corrective action, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures if needed. * Enters, transmits, and reports scan results. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned. Additional requirements include: * Education: Two-year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree. * License: /Certifications: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography; BLS required.
