American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult critical care experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital in Charleston, SC.Job Details• Adult inpatient respiratory therapy unit within a large 865-bed Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital,• High-acuity patient population requiring the ability to work across Adult ICU, Stepdown, and Floor Care settings,• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,• Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed,• Floating may be required to a sister facility (ART), which uses the same equipment and policies,• Epic is the primary charting system; Epic and Cerner experience preferred,• No on-call requirement,• Parking pass available for a one-time $20 fee; parking is free on days (nights and weekends incur cost),Job Requirements• Active RRT credential and SC Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license required - SC RCP license must be in hand at time of start; license required if applicable,• Current BLS certification (AHA only),• NBRC certification accepted,• Minimum 1 year of adult critical care experience,• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted,• Epic EMR experience preferred,• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration,• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,Additional Information• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized, and local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis,• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler,• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on manager and unit needs,• Online orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date,• During hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September,• Caribbean blue scrubs required
