Job Description

A highly skilled Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) is needed to oversee regulatory, operational, and quality functions for a 503A compounding pharmacy based in Chandler, AZ. This role is pivotal in ensuring strict compliance with Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations, FDA and DEA standards, and USP guidelines. The PIC will lead regulatory inspections, manage licensure and accreditation, and maintain a strong culture of safety, compliance, and continuous quality enhancement. This contract-to-perm opportunity involves working full-time day shifts with flexibility in schedule and is expected to last approximately 13 weeks. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the designated Pharmacist-in-Charge for Arizona and applicable non-resident state licenses. Maintain active pharmacist licensure in Arizona and additional states including AL, AK, AR, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MA, MS, NE, NV, OH, OK, OR, TN, and TX. Ensure strict compliance with FDA, DEA, USP / , and Arizona Board of Pharmacy regulations. Lead and represent the pharmacy during all regulatory inspections and audits. Develop, update, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and staff training programs. Submit required reports related to theft/loss and notify the Board of Pharmacy regarding any PIC changes, staff updates, or pharmacy hour modifications. Maintain oversight of licensure, accreditation, and regulatory documentation. Qualifications / Desired Experience: Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy. Active pharmacist license in Arizona plus multiple additional states as listed. Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience, including hosting inspections. Familiarity with compounding pharmacy operations and DEA regulatory requirements. Location: Chandler, Arizona (local candidates preferred; remote candidates will be considered if willing to hold license remotely).
