Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience and required Siemens proficiency for a mid-shift assignment at an acute care hospital.Job Details• Busy outpatient and ED (Emergency Department) setting with a full range of CT imaging cases,• Patient population spans all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics,• Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, chest (w/ and w/o contrast), vascular chest, carotid, head, sinuses, soft tissue neck, trauma head, cervical/lumbar/thoracic spine, and musculoskeletal trauma,• Required skills include isolation precautions, preparation and/or administration of contrast media, radiation safety, starting peripheral IVs, and venipuncture,• Preferred procedures include colorectal studies, cardiac CT, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), brain perfusion, CT arthrography, aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and myelography,• PACS experience preferred,• EMR: Epic,• Siemens CT equipment required; interpreter services facilitated via iPad and Zoom,• Schedule: 3x12-hour mid shifts, 10:00 AM - 10:30 PM; shift days are either Mon/Thu/Fri or Wed/Thu/Fri,• Weekend coverage may be required on an 8-hour Saturday or Sunday shift if a weekend tech is unavailable; travelers will be given at least 2 weeks' notice and will have a corresponding weekday off,• No call or float requirements,Job Requirements• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience,• Required work setting experience: adult acute care, ICU, and ED,• Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certifications required,• Hands-on experience with Siemens CT equipment required,• Proficiency with abdomen, pelvis, chest, head/neck, and spine/musculoskeletal CT protocols required,• Skills in isolation precautions, contrast media administration, radiation safety, peripheral IV starts, and venipuncture required,• License required if applicable,Additional Information• First-time travelers will be considered for this position,• Local candidates are accepted,• Orientation consists of 16 hours, scheduled earlier in the day (approximately 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM) to ensure trainer availability; candidates must be fully available with no other commitments during the first week as the start day may fall on a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday,• Following orientation, travelers are expected to operate the CT equipment independently, though a tech is always present in the department for support,• The final confirmed start date will be communicated the Tuesday prior to the start week; missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start,• RTO is not permitted after booking and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation,• Royal Blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided,• 8-week assignment
