Job Description

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit accurate claims to insurance carriers (electronic and paper) for ASC procedures. Review operative notes to ensure correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding. Understand Insurance contracts and bill for Implants as needed If needed able to verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to billing. If needed follow up on unpaid or denied claims, including appeals and resubmissions. Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, and ASC-specific regulations. Collaborate with surgeons, schedulers, and insurance verification staff to ensure accurate and timely claim submission. Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience (ASC or surgical billing preferred). Proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and modifier usage for surgical claims. Knowledge of Medicare, commercial, and managed care billing requirements. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with practice management and clearinghouse software. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
