Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Provide visionary leadership and management for the surgical services department, including strategic planning, recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Ensure the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care within the surgical unit. Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards for surgical services. Lead and support staff during surgical procedures and handle emergency situations effectively. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a master's degree in Nursing (MSN) is required as the facility is a Magnet Hospital. 3 years of recent acute care manager or RN experience is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is required. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred. Certification as a Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) is preferred.
