Description We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Patient Registration Services Specialist to join our team in the South Bay. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a seamless patient registration process, delivering top-notch customer service, and supporting process improvements within the department. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the patient registration process by collecting and verifying accurate demographic and insurance information. - Obtain prior authorizations and ensure timely insurance notifications to support seamless service delivery. - Complete financial clearance procedures and manage patient liability collections before, during, or after the time of service. - Act as a role model and resource for peers, providing guidance and expertise in patient access and registration functions. - Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. - Greet and assist patients, visitors, and caregivers with a focus on delivering compassionate, customer-centered care. - Ensure compliance with regulations and documentation requirements, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all records. - Collaborate with supervisors and team members to uphold organizational values and promote a positive patient experience. - Serve as a functional expert, addressing complex patient access issues and supporting department training initiatives. - Maintain a strong understanding of the organization's mission and values, reflecting them in all interactions. Requirements Qualifications: - Proven experience in patient access, registration, or related healthcare administrative roles. - Strong knowledge of insurance processes, including prior authorizations and financial clearance. - Ability to identify operational trends and contribute to continuous process improvement efforts. - Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate and detail-oriented demeanor. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and documentation standards. - Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support collaboration with patients, caregivers, and team members. - Proficiency in managing patient liability collections and financial transactions. - Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities to handle complex registration scenarios.
