Assistant Professor, Clinical Psychology

The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August 2026 in the PsyD program (combined Clinical and School Psychology). The program received full accreditation from the American Psychological Association in August 2023. The selected candidate will also contribute to the Clinical Psychology master's program. The Health Service Psychology program is housed in the Psychological and Behavioral Health Sciences department within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. Appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level. The position will be open until filled, with priority given to applications received by December 31st, 2025. We reserve the right to extend the search or not fill position. Duties: Responsibilities include teaching the equivalent of two classes per semester (fall and spring), supervision and advising of doctoral and master's students, including research supervision of theses and dissertations. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a productive research program with student involvement. Qualifications: Required: Earned doctorate in clinical psychology from APA-accredited program Psychology licensure (Licensed Psychologist) or license-eligibility Preferred: * Area of research expertise is open, with consideration given to those with a child focus, and/or a focus in behavioral, cognitive behavioral, third-wave cognitive behavior, or health psychology * Evidence of or potential for teaching excellence across a wide range of psychology courses, particularly with emphases related to practicum, CBT, and health psychology Applications are only accepted online through the university's website.
