About the RoleWe are seeking a Licensed Optician or ABO-Certified Optician to support the Department of Veterans Affairs by providing optical services to veteran patients.The Optician will assist with eyewear dispensing, measurements, adjustments, and patient education in a clinical setting.Key ResponsibilitiesFit and dispense prescription eyewearMeasure pupillary distance and segment heightAssist patients with frame selectionVerify prescription specificationsPerform minor eyeglass repairs and adjustmentsDocument patient care in VA electronic health recordsMaintain compliance with VA and HIPAA regulationsQualificationsState Licensed Optician or ABO CertificationExperience in optical dispensingExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work in a healthcare environmentAbility to obtain VA background clearanceScheduleMonday–Friday8:00 AM – 4:30 PMBenefits (if applicable)Competitive payFederal holidays offOpportunity to serve veteransLong-term contract opportunityPowered by JazzHR
