Requisition ID: 48751Work Location: Public Utilities - Municipal CenterPay Range: G.14, $33,342.40 - $51,667.20Starting Salary: Depending upon QualificationsWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 an - 3:30 pmPart Time Hours/Wk: Job Open Date: Application Deadline: 4/22/26Job Duties:Our Public Utilities Engineering Division is hiring a Survey Aide I or Survey Aide II based on qualificationsThe Survey Aide will assist a survey crew involved in basic land surveying and GIS data collection by performing duties such as holding grade rod or plumb bob to determine elevations and distances, assisting in maintaining field notes and performing minor calculations to help ensure accuracy of work, and by operating electronic locating devices to mark existing utility lines. The individual must be able to physically perform manual tasks such as digging, cutting, brush, driving hubs or stakes, carrying equipment, and opening covers for underground utility structures.Job description links:Survey Aide ISurvey Aide IISalary Pay Range:00355 Survey Aide I G14 $33,342.40 - $51,667.2000525 Survey Aide II G16 $36,753.60 - $56,971.20Official City Job Description:Conditions:Requirements:MINIMUMS Survey Aide I: Requires high school or GED; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, and associated with such fields as surveying, construction, or drafting. Must have a current and valid drivers license. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. This position may require that incumbents to wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to, steel toed shoes, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, or other safety attire and equipment in designated areas of risk. Specific requirements will be determined and communicated by the employee's supervisor based on position assigned.Survey Aide II: High school or GED plus one (1) year of experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, such as surveying work, construction, engineering drafting; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
