Job Description

A healthcare opportunity is available for a skilled CT Technologist with at least 1 year of CT experience and a strong foundation in radiology. This travel position offers engagement with advanced imaging technologies including GE scanners and encourages working in an environment that values compassion, respect, and excellence in patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform CT imaging examinations and intravenous contrast injections following safety protocols. Prepare and maintain equipment and scanning areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness. Provide patient transportation and escort services within the radiology department as needed. Complete clerical duties related to patient care and ensure proper documentation. Operate, maintain, and log equipment functionality and perform quality control tests. Comply with radiation safety standards for patients, self, and public under ODH and JC guidelines. Educate patients and families about procedures and safety. Maintain professional competencies as mandated by state and departmental standards. Participate in rotating emergency call schedules and cover other market facilities as requested. Support team collaboration and assist in mentoring students and trainees. Uphold a compassionate and respectful patient experience consistent with organizational values. Qualifications & Desired Experience: ARRT Registered (R) Radiologic Technologist credential required; ARRT CT certification preferred. Current Virginia Radiology license and BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Minimum 1 year recent CT experience; 2 years in general radiology preferred. Proficiency with GE Scanners strongly desired. EPIC experience is a plus. Comprehensive knowledge of radiology/CT modalities and multi-step procedural data analysis. Schedule & Call Requirements: Call rotation every 6 weeks including evening and overnight shifts: Monday-Thursday 3:00 pm-9:30 pm, Friday 3:00 pm-7:00 am, weekend shifts 7:00 am-7:00 am. Call durations vary: 6.5, 15.5, and 24 hours. Additional Details: Commitment to patient safety and quality is paramount. Willingness to assist in departmental initiatives and attend meetings and in-services. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain ethical professional relationships.
