Palatine Nursing Home - Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee nursing operations within our facility. This leadership role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.DutiesLead and manage nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal patient care.Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.Oversee the creation and maintenance of resident care plans, ensuring they meet individual needs.Conduct regular documentation reviews to maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and coordinate care effectively.Ensure proper management of EMR and EHR systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping.Supervise shift management to guarantee adequate staffing levels and quality care delivery at all times.Provide training and development opportunities for nursing staff to promote professional growth.Stay informed about advancements in nursing practices, medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and Medicare regulations.RequirementsValid nursing license with extensive experience in nursing administration and management.Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, home health, hospice care, or acute care environments.Strong supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills in nurse management.Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with MDS documentation processes.In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, HIPAA regulations, and documentation standards.Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with staff, residents, families, and healthcare providers.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
