JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Early Childhood Coordinators and the site-based Early Childhood Intervention Specialist, the Prekindergarten Associate will deliver the prescribed general education curriculum to children in the classroom through direct instruction and co-instruction. QUALIFICATIONS * Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university required * Ohio State Board of Education License for Prekindergarten Associate required * Previous experience working with children aged 3-5 in an inclusive program preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Deliver the general education curriculum (e.g., play, small group projects, open-ended questioning, group discussion, problem-solving, cooperative learning, and inquiry experience) and learning across contexts (indoor, outdoor, home-based). * Assist the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist in adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the needs of individual students * Assist the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist in the implementation of the social-emotional curriculum, practices, and procedures. * Assist the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist with documentation requirements, including assessing student growth and collecting data to monitor student progress * Help maintain accurate and complete student records; help prepare and submit required reports on time * Assist Early Childhood Intervention Specialist and students with tasks related to daily activities (e.g., toileting, snack, handwashing, and helping load and unload buses * Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with maintenance of the classroom as directed by the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist or Early Childhood Coordinator(s) * Maintain a safe classroom environment; report any safety concerns to Early Childhood Coordinators SALARY Hourly and commensurate with experience and education See job description on website for full position details.
