Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, Los Angeles, CASchedule: Full-time; 8-hour shifts (day or night). No overtime or federal holidays.Key Responsibilities:Provide respiratory therapy services, including airway management and mechanical ventilationAdminister oxygen therapy, bronchodilators, mucolytics, and medical gasesSet up and manage CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP systemsRespond to Rapid Response and emergency situationsMonitor patient respiratory status and recognize need for medical interventionEducate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipmentMaintain accurate clinical documentation and recordsComply with VA privacy, safety, infection control, and quality standardsRequired Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy programRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC)Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner licenseMinimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience (1 year critical care required)Current CPR and ACLS certificationAbility to pass VA credentialing, background checks, and health screening
