Virginia Commonwealth University is an equal opportunity employer.Unit: School Of MedicineDepartment: AnesthesiologyChief Purpose of Position:To provide medical and/or surgical care and treatment to patients with chronic pain(s) as designated by the Anesthesiology Department Chairman and Medical Director/Program director for Chronic Pain. Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and/or preventive healthcare service including any or all of the following: histories and physicals; order and interpret tests; make preliminary diagnosis; treat injuries/illness; assist surgical procedures; counselling patients and/or prescribe medication as well as those invasive procedures defined by the Virginia Board of Medicine and designated by Medical Director/Program Director for Chronic Pain. Works collaboratively with the medical team to deliver organized, timely, cost effective and quality patient care.
