Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.Summary:The Revenue Integrity Pharmacist in informatics ensures accurate medication billing, charging, and reimbursement across pharmacy services. This role collaborates with pharmacy operations, pharmacy finance, revenue integrity, and coding to optimize pharmacy revenue through cross-functional process improvement initiatives. This role reports to the System Pharmacy Director for Informatics. Other information:Required Job Qualifications:Registered Pharmacist in Illinois (or eligibility to be licensed in Illinois).PharmD degree.Hospital pharmacy experience.Epic Willow Certification.Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to demonstrate responsibility and accountability for all aspects of professional practice. Ability to independently problem solve, multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Job Qualifications:PGY1 pharmacy residency.PGY2 pharmacy informatics residency.System expertise in pharmacy automation including, but not limited to Epic, DoseEdge, RxWorks, RIVA, Pyxis and Alaris.Understanding of medication billing and charging and provides support to systems involved.Understanding of interfaces and can troubleshoot and resolve issues.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.Ambulatory infusion or specialty pharmacy experience is highly preferred. Ability to mentor and teach residents and students.Ability to demonstrate Rush ICARE values.Physical Demands:May be exposed to certain hazardous materials, including but not limited to chemotherapeutic agents. Lifting up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:Maintain and optimize the pharmacy charge description master (CDM) and accurate medication lists and NDCs within the health recordImplement pharmacy drug price updatesEnsure routine HCPCS code updates are madeMonitor pharmacy charge review work queuesImplement pharmacy denials management program, build an internal process for continuous quality improvementIdentifies revenue capture opportunitiesMonitor new technology add-on payment eligible chargesEnsure proper documentation for high-cost medications and specialty drugsSupport compliance audits and regulatory reviewsPerform monthly targeted drug reimbursement audits for high-dollar medications to ensure appropriate reimbursementEducate pharmacy staff on documentation and billing best practicesParticipate in system implementations (EHR, billing systems, automation tools)Partner with health-system revenue integrity staff to address missed charges Serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy billing and reimbursementRush is an equal opportunity employer.
