Job Description

Soar is seeking a Child Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team! The role is well-suited to someone who wants to be part of a team focused on supporting young children with autism and their families and who values continuity of care.Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive services that help them thrive. We provide naturalistic ABA therapy through use of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), speech therapy, occupational therapy, and developmental pediatrics consultation. We also provide diagnostic services to help families quickly access integrated, collaborative care. This also enables us to provide continuity of care not just during the transition to therapy, but also while a child and their family are receiving therapy at Soar. Soar clinicians develop individualized therapy plans in coordination with families. The team sets ambitious goals that focus on building skills that enable children to grow into their fullest selves. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning.Location:We are seeking candidates either located in the Baltimore, MD, and Washington, D.C., regions or fully remote for interested candidates that live outside this area. Soar has established the necessary infrastructure to conduct assessments remotely as well as offers multiple locations for those who prefer an in-office setting for some work tasks, providing location flexibility within the regions we serve.Responsibilities:The foundational responsibilities of the role include:70% of time:Conducting ~5 diagnostic evaluations per week (28 billable hours / week) using standardized assessments for autism and differential diagnosisADOS-2, Developmental Profile (DP-4), BASC-3, other measures as clinically appropriateDeveloping and delivering treatment recommendations to familiesProviding high quality and efficient services, including clinical services and reportsProviding families with individualized treatment recommendations30% of time:As needed, participation as a member of the interdisciplinary clinical teamAs needed, participate in continuity of care for children evaluated that then receive treatment at SoarDocumentationConsultation and coaching with the Head of Psychological ServicesAdditional opportunities may be available based on a candidate's interest and experience, and fit with Soar's mission.
