American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and vascular ultrasound skills for a night shift contract at a Level 3 Trauma, 241-bed acute care hospital in Shelby, NC.Job Details• Work in a hospital-based ultrasound department at a 241-licensed-bed, Level 3 Trauma facility,• Certified Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center,• Common diagnoses include cancer, stroke, COVID, flu, RSV, and heart attack,• May encounter radiology students in the department,• Average patient volume across departments is 250-300 patients per day,• Equipment includes Siemens Sequoia and P2000 ultrasound systems,• EMR: Epic,• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (three 12s per week),• May float between the main hospital and an outpatient advanced imaging clinic as needed,Job Requirements• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasound, with most recent experience within the last year,• Current BLS required,• ARDMS (no specific anatomy certification required) or ARRT required,• Vascular ultrasound experience required,• First-time travelers will not be considered,• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,• License required if applicable,• 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, required for consideration,• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration,Additional Information• Orientation includes approximately 1 day of modules and paperwork, followed by 2 days of departmental orientation,• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays,• RTO is subject to manager approval,• Black scrubs required,• Free onsite parking available,• Former employees who held a permanent position must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible,• Department is described as having a family-oriented culture
