Respiratory Therapist Compensation: $29 to $40/hour + 25K SOB + Shift DifferentialJob Type: Full-Time, 36 hrs/week | Every 3rd weekend rotation | 6:30 PM-7:00 AMA community-focused hospital in Ohio is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join their Respiratory Care Services team on the night shift. Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory therapy treatments across all patient age groups, including pediatric, adolescent, and geriatric populationsSet up, manage, and monitor mechanical ventilators, including all associated critical care duties (airway management, tracheal suctioning)Perform emergency intubation and airway management for patients of all agesMaintain comprehensive knowledge of oxygen delivery methods and equipment; monitor for potential side effectsPerform arterial punctures for blood gas analysis; understand associated complications and contraindicationsPerform EKGs and transmit reports to ordering and attending physicians per department protocolInspect, test, and safely operate all respiratory therapy equipment to ensure proper functionAssess patient status, tolerance for treatment, and response; reassess and adjust care plans accordinglyDocument all pertinent data in the PCN following completion of servicesDevelop patient and family teaching plans based on identified learning needs; evaluate learning effectivenessParticipate in on-call rotation and every 3rd weekend rotationParticipate in staff meetings, educational programs, QI activities, committees, and mandatory in-servicesDemonstrate initiative in personal and professional development; present a professional image at all timesQualifications:Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Respiratory TherapyNBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), licensed by the Ohio Respiratory Care BoardCurrent, active State of Ohio Respiratory Therapist License (required)BLS certified; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications requiredSuccessful completion of Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification3+ years of experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services preferredStrong interpersonal, leadership, and documentation skillsPhysical stamina for an active clinical environment: walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to ~50 lbsCommitment to ongoing professional development and continuing educationBenefits: Medical, Dental and Vision insurance.401(k) with employer matchPTORelocation Assistance Monday-Friday schedule - no weekends
