Deliver accurate and timely laboratory results in a critical healthcare environment as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician specializing in clinical laboratory services. Position Details: Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off Shift hours: 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM Location: Wetumpka, AL Travel assignment ideal for first-time travelers with over 1 year of experience Responsibilities: Perform testing and analysis in areas including blood bank and chemistry, utilizing manual microtomes, Sakura tissue processors, Benchmark Ultras, and Ventana H&E for staining Operate electronic medical records system Cerner efficiently to document and communicate patient data Maintain quality control and assure compliance with lab protocols in a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a 492-bed facility featuring a Level III NICU Qualifications: At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience MLS certification required; Manager also accepts MLS certification in place of MLT due to similarity in training Preferred experience in blood bank and chemistry testing Familiarity with equipment such as Sakura tissue processors and Cerner EMR preferred Additional Information: Orientation includes one day of New Employee Orientation plus two days of lab-specific onboarding No weekend, on-call, or holiday shifts required Free parking available; flexible scrub color policy About the Location: Wetumpka, AL offers a welcoming community atmosphere with convenient access to nearby Montgomery's vibrant medical centers and amenities.
