Pharmacist in Hartford, CT

A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Staff Pharmacist to join a long-term care and intellectual developmental disorder pharmacy at their Hartford, CT site. This role requires flexibility in shifting between two weekday schedules and occasional Saturday support. Location: Hartford, Connecticut Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (flexibility to work both shifts required) Potential Saturday hours in the future Key Responsibilities: Perform primary pharmacist verification 2 (PV2) duties, including checking and verifying prescriptions Receive training for pharmacist verification 1 (PV1) responsibilities based on aptitude Manage prescription volume efficiently within a fast-paced environment using the Frameworks system Qualifications / Desired Experience: Must hold an active Connecticut pharmacist license Prior long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferred; retail pharmacy experience considered with ability to handle high volume Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in verification processes Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and occasional weekend coverage Additional Details: Virtual interviews will be conducted Submittal requirements: updated resume, skills checklist, one pharmacy manager reference, and a copy of current CT pharmacist license Compensation is commensurate with experience and background, with retail candidates placed on the lower end of the scale This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist seeking a direct hire position in an LTC-focused environment ready to contribute immediately.
