Discover users need from our products and services by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing methodologically appropriate research studies. These responsibilities also include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping the UX team better understand what would make a user's experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize research to support the defining and driving of products, both hardware and softwareConduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences, provide findings and recommendationsCollect and analyze user behavior through lab studies, field visits, ethnography, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing)Partner with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other UXRs to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environmentUnderstand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into researchAdvocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentationsUse a diverse set of UX research tools and demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development processComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications:Bachelor's or MS in a human behavior related field such as HCI (Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, Anthropology, Human Factors or related field) or equivalent and demonstrated work experienceExperience:Five or more years of UX research experienceExperience with research design utilizing various methods including but not limited to usability studies, contextual inquiry, and surveysExperience with remote testing toolsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to quickly and effectively share research resultsAbility to perform all research-related tasks including research, planning, evaluating, and iterationAbility to formulate specific, answerable, and practical questionsAbility to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and act as a strategic partner in product decisionsExcellent time-management skillsAbility to be a critical thinker (ask questions, gather data, and analyze data)Preferred QualificationsEducation/Certifications:Experience:Record of applying research skills to create product and business impactKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to craft and lead UX research using both qualitative and quantitative research methods and analysisProficient in a variety of UX research methods and tools, including rapid experimentation, prototyping, usability testing (remote and in-person), ride-along, journey mapping, card sorting, prototyping, user interviews, usability testing, persona development--know how/when to advocate for different methodsThe pay range for this position is $76,600.00 - $144,700.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
