About the job Hematologist/Oncologist Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital, in Chicago, IL, is actively seeking a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join our dynamic, community-focused oncology practice!It is a 361-bed cornerstone of care in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood (on the near northwest side, just 2-3 miles west of downtown Chicago's Loop), delivers compassionate, high-quality services-including robust cancer treatment programs-to a diverse urban population.Position DetailsWill be employed position with Prime Illinois Medical Group (multi-specialty, hospital-affiliated)Full-time clinical role with strong referral base from primary care, specialists, and emergency servicesMix of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies; opportunity for benign hematology consultsModern outpatient oncology clinic with infusion center supportAccess to multidisciplinary team: radiology, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology (as needed), palliative careEMR: EpicHospital highlights: High Performing in key conditions (U.S. News & World Report 2025-2026), comprehensive services including cardiology, orthopedics, behavioral healthChicago offers world-class culture, dining, arts, Lake Michigan access, and excellent schools-all while making a real difference in a safety-net community hospital settingResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.)Manage benign hematology consults and non-malignant blood disorders as neededDevelop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including systemic therapies (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents)Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (radiology, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, palliative care) for optimal patient outcomesParticipate in tumor board discussions and quality initiativesDeliver patient-centered care with strong emphasis on communication, shared decision-making, and supportive servicesQualificationsBoard-certified/eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology (dual-boarded preferred)Fellowship-trained from an accredited programEligible for Illinois medical licenseStrong clinical skills, patient-centered approach, team playerCompensation & Benefits Base salary $450,000-$550,000+ (three-year guarantee)Productivity incentives / RVU-based bonusesSign-on bonus + relocation assistanceComprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, malpractice (with tail), CME allowance, 401(k) match, paid time offPrime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000 -$550,000 on an annualized basis.
