American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of Adult Critical Care and NICU experience for a night shift travel assignment at a short-term acute care teaching hospital.Job Details• Short-term acute care teaching hospital; Member of the Council of Teaching Hospitals (COTH) with 338 staffed beds,• Respiratory therapy unit covering both Adult Critical Care and NICU patient populations,• Specialized equipment includes Draeger V500, Draeger VN500, and Servo U ventilators,• Charting performed in Cerner (experience preferred),• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:30-07:00,• Every other weekend work required; holiday coverage expected,• No on-call requirement,• Float requirement between Adult and NICU units,• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible for a local pay rate,Job Requirements• Active RRT credential and CRT certification required,• MD state licensure required, if applicable,• Current BLS certification required,• ACLS certification preferred,• Minimum 2 years of experience as an RRT in Adult Critical Care and NICU settings,• At least 1 prior completed travel assignment required,• ED experience preferred,• Proficiency with airway management, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation,• Cerner EMR experience preferred,• 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration,• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration,Additional Information• Responsibilities include airway management and suctioning (ETT, trach, nasal/oral airways), extubation, pulmonary hygiene, sputum specimen collection, and ABG interpretation,• Medication administration includes bronchodilators, inhaled steroids, racemic epinephrine, and related aerosol therapies via nebulizer, MDI, and aerosol setups,• NICU responsibilities include assisting in high-risk deliveries and umbilical blood gas collection,• Preferred skills include bronchoscopy, nitric oxide (iNO), inhaled Flolan, Mucomyst, Ketamine, Bicarbonate, and Theophylline,• Scrubs are not provided; ceil blue scrub color required,• Influenza vaccination is required for all staff at this facility,• All time-off and scheduling requests must be disclosed at the time of initial consideration
