City/State Chesapeake, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: Sentara is hiring a Clinical Authorization Specialist for our Home Infusion Specialty Pharmacy Must be a certified Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Practical Nurse to qualify for this role Location: Independence Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320 Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk) Shift: Monday - Friday Days Hours: 8:30am-5pm The Clinical Authorization Coordinator is responsible to maintain, confirming and secure referrals, authorization, or pre-certifications required for patients to receive medical procedures and/ or medication/enteral therapy. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient account information and maintains a database of payer authorization requirements.
