More than 8,500 diverse student learners are provided an exceptional education experience throughout the district's early learning center, six elementary schools (K- Grade 5) including both French and Spanish Immersion programs, two middle schools (Grades 6-8), a high school (9-12), and the Edina Virtual Pathway online program.POSITION:Summer Childcare Assistant - Summer Only LOCATION:Early Learning CenterEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent and experience working with children.DAILY SCHEDULE:Summer Program operates 7:30am - 5:30 pm. Monday - Friday. Part time and Full time schedules available. DAYS PER YEAR: 06/01/2026-08/14/2026RATE OF PAY: The wage for this position ranges from $16.97 to $23.34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. New hires will typically start at the entry-level rate within the wage range, while candidates with relevant experience may be placed at a higher starting rate. These decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis, in consideration of the individual's experience and the school district's budget.BENEFITS:This is a temporary/seasonal position. Eligible employees will participate in the state's largest pension program, the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
