Our team is growing, and we are seeking additional team members committed to providing the highest level of professionalism and who share common values with our culture.Position Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Field Manager to oversee and manage all construction activities at the project site. The Field Manager performs functions to control the field activities and the subcontractors to deliver the project on time, on budget, and per the plans and specifications, while maintaining an intense focus on safety. This role requires regular travel, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and efficient project execution. This role collaborates with the Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, and Project Coordinator to ensure each project runs smoothly.Position Responsibilities:Manage and monitor the work and progress of subcontractors to ensure contract compliance, quality, and adherence to the project scheduleOversee job site safety & compliance with OSHA regulations and Cambridge safety plan.Manage new site visitor safety training for subcontractorsMaintain records of subcontractors' toolbox talksProvide and work with an effective 4-week look ahead schedule, weeklyPlan and run the weekly foreman meetings, collaborating between the office and the subcontractorsMust be physically present onsite during construction and/or while subcontractors presentLiaison between the project owner, the office, the subcontractors, material suppliers, and inspectorsComplete detailed daily field reports for each day of work on the project, taking regular job photosReview, verify, stamp, and log time and material labor ticketsAssist project team in review and issuance of RFI's and submittals upon itiate chargebacks as appropriateUpdate As-Built drawings in red as variances occur and notify the officeDirect close out and punch list activities as necessary to ensure complete customer satisfactionLog lessons learned as they occur during the construction of the projectOversee site conditions to maintain general organization and cleanliness for the projectOther duties as assigned May lead and direct the work of subcontractors, project engineers and assistant project managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. a g e Revision Date: 02/04/2020Requirements:7+ years of experience in traveling superintendent role in commercial and/or industrial constructionDegree in engineering or construction management preferredExperience managing work crews, equipment utilization, material purchases, and subcontractorsAbility to read, understand, and interpret contracts, scope of work, drawings, blueprints, and technical specificationsValid driver's license and clean driving record100% travel as required by project, ability to go home once per month when travelingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft ProjectExperience utilizing construction management software; Procore is preferredPEMB, Waste industry and design-build experience is preferredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear.
