For more information, visit: Responsible for broking new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to the client. Ensure all clients' needs are promptly and accurately satisfied, deadlines are met, and service standards are achieved.This is a full-time opportunity open to a hybrid or remote CST schedule. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to earn a 25% commission on first-year new business.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProactively coordinate broking around the renewal cycle in accordance with NFP's service model standards and timelinesDefine success and direct broking activity to achieve the optimal outcome for the client/prospect; ensure a go-to-market strategy is in place for each broking engagementEffectively negotiate with insurance carriers demonstrating a command of risk; drive financial and non-financial outcomes that support organic revenue development and retention, and identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell to increase client product density and account marginCollaborate with account management and client teams to present complete, timely, and differentiated submissions to markets; respond to carrier queries, compile carrier quote proposals, analyze each proposal, and provide clients with a clear summary of the marketing process and recommended actionsSupport team members with proposal preparation for existing and prospective clientsRespond to client queries and concerns to resolve issues promptlyReview binders and policies to ensure terms and conditions are accurately reflectedAttend client meetings to strengthen client communication and presentation skillsAssist in developing sales documents, presentations, stewardship reports, and RFP responses for prospective clientsPresent proposals to producers and account management teams and participate in client meetingsPrepare coverage comparisons, diagnostics, consolidated coverage/policy analyses, letters and reports under the direction of the Senior Broker or Broking Team LeaderDevelop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and local NFP account management teamsCultivate an understanding of markets to better assist the broking teamMaintain accurate client and policy information in NFP's Epic agency management systemDrive the deployment of data and analytics to provide meaningful program insights for clients and the broking teamEnsure client, broking, and brokerage data files are maintained in a complete, organized and timely fashionExecute on NFP's broking strategies, including strategic carriers, panels, and preferred wholesaler utilizationDevelop and maintain thorough knowledge of insurance marketplaces and available products and servicesEngage account team and markets to coordinate cross-sell and up-sell initiatives; effectively closes coverage gaps or deficiencies, supports the account team in maximizing client product density, enhancing account profitability and marginKnowledge, Skills, And/or AbilitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to interact with a variety of people effectivelyExcellent negotiation skills with the ability to adjust approach to drive outcomesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail with strong analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)Excellent organizational skills and ability to adjust to changing workload and prioritiesAbility to coordinate resources and responsibilitiesSelf-motivated with positive attitude and sense of urgencyTechnical competency and creativity in developing innovative property and casualty solutionsConfident, poised and client-facing; communicates effectively, demonstrates emotional intelligence, and tailors responses in dynamic situationsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Epic (agency management system) is a plusEducation And/or ExperienceBachelor's degree preferredMinimum of three to five years insurance experienceCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationP&C License requiredAdvanced industry designation(s) (e.g., CPCU, CIC, ARM) a plusWhat We OfferWe offer a competitive salary, PTO and paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health and wellness programs, and more.
